Raffles Education Corporation Limited ("REC"​) is the largest private education group in Asia-Pacific. Since establishing its first college in Singapore in 1990, REC has grown to operate 25 colleges in 23 cities across 13 countries: Australia, Cambodia, China, India, Indonesia, Italy, Malaysia, Mongolia, Philippines, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Sri Lanka, and Thailand.

More than 20,500 students enrolled in REC’s tertiary programmes benefit from a quality education that provides graduates with a well-rounded hands-on experience relevant to the industry.

In 2012, REC launched the Raffles American School ("RAS"​) in Iskandar, Malaysia. RAS is REC’s first pre-tertiary institution offering American K-12 education, and marks the Group’s entry into the international school segment and expansion into a new market.

REC also owns the Oriental University City in Langfang, Hebei Province, China – a 1 million square metre self-contained campus. Within this campus, Oriental University City provides education services to six colleges with an additional student population of over 19,000.

Headquartered in Singapore, REC employs close to 2,000 academic and administrative staff, and is listed on the Mainboard of the Singapore Exchange.

About Raffles Education Corporation in China

REC started its first joint cooperative college in Shanghai with Dong Hua University (then China Textile University) in 1994.  Since then, we have grown and expanded to other cities in China. 
Today, we operate schools and universities in Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Tianjin, Hefei, Suzhou, as well as Hong Kong SAR as part of greater China region.

Currently, REC employs around 800 staff in our China operations.
