Ryan Salcido

Ryan Salcido has a diverse work experience ranging from their current role as a DevSecOps Engineer at raft, where they started in December 2020, to their previous position as a Data Scientist at the U.S. Department of Defense from August 2018 to November 2020. Prior to that, they worked as an Applications Engineer Co-Op at Microsemi Corporation from August 2016 to July 2018. Ryan also gained experience as a Data Scientist through an internship at the Naval Research Enterprise Internship Program at the Naval Postgraduate School from June 2017 to August 2017. Additionally, they worked as a Barista at Starbucks from May 2015 to August 2016.

Ryan Salcido completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from California State University-Sacramento, where they attended from 2013 to 2017. In December 2017, they obtained a certification in Information Assurance and Security from the same institution. In July 2019, they received a Network+ certification from CompTIA, followed by a Security+ certification in November 2019. Ryan further enhanced their expertise by earning a GIAC Certified Penetration Tester (GPEN) certification from the SANS Institute in November 2020, as well as a GIAC Certified Incident Handler (GCIH) certification from the same institute in October 2020.
