Ryu Hayama

Ryu Hayama has extensive experience in technical design within the fashion industry, currently serving as Senior Director of Technical Design for Men's and Women's Ready-to-Wear and Outlet categories at rag & bone since June 2015. Previous roles include Director of Technical Design for Women's RTW and Men's & Women's Denim at the same company, as well as Technical Design Manager for Women's RTW. Ryu's prior experience includes positions at Marc Jacobs as Technical Design Manager for Women's Collection Denim and Men's Marc by Marc Jacobs, and at Polo Ralph Lauren as a Technical Designer for various labels. Early career highlights include freelance work as a Patternmaker, Designer, and Production Manager. Ryu holds an Associate of Applied Science in Menswear from the Fashion Institute of Technology and a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering from Waseda University.
