Brady Kriss has worked in a variety of roles in the tech and legal fields. In 2009, Kriss was an LLM Student at the University of Washington School of Law Intellectual Property Law and Policy Program, and a Contract Attorney at ATG. In 2007, Kriss was a Legal Intern at ATG, responsible for ensuring software and web services deployments conformed to domestic and international data privacy laws. In 2010, Kriss was an Intern at the International Trade Administration, where they organized meetings with private sector stakeholders and analyzed and synthesized industry and public advocacy group comments. In 2011, Kriss was the Director of Support for Obama for America, providing user-facing support for more than ten different web apps with more than 2.5 million users. In 2015, Kriss was the Partner Success Lead at Democracy Works, working with a small team of organizers to help partners use software and implement strong voter engagement programs. In 2016, Kriss was the People and Product Lead Organizer at DevProgress, and the Founder & Executive Director at Ragtag. In 2018, Kriss became the VP of Memberships at OpenSupporter.

Brady Kriss obtained a Bachelor of Arts and a Certificate from Carleton College in 2003, majoring in Political Science and International Relations and German. Brady then obtained a Juris Doctor from Northeastern University School of Law in 2007, followed by an LLM in Intellectual Property Law and Policy from the University of Washington School of Law in 2010. Kriss also obtained a certification from the State Bar of California in 2014 to become a Member of the California Bar, a certification from the Board of Bar Overseers in 2007 to become a Member of Massachusetts Bar, and a Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP) certification from the International Association of Privacy Professionals in 2008.
