Rashed Al Ghafri

Rashed Al Ghafri is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in governmental and telecommunications roles. Currently serving as General Partner at Raha Beach Ventures since May 2022, Rashed also holds pivotal positions in the UAE Federal Government, contributing as an advisor and previously as Director General and Executive Director. As Chairman of Thuraya Telecommunications Company since April 2018, and a Board Member at Yahsat since July 2007, Rashed has played key roles in various organizations, including serving as a Board Member at GAL and EDGE, and a Board Member at the Telecommunications and Digital Government Regulatory Authority. Rashed's educational background includes a Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the University of Miami, a Master's degree in Computer Engineering from Yarmouk University, and a Diploma in Business Administration and Management from IMD.
