Jessica Ortiz

Jessica Ortiz serves as the Deputy Director of Communications at Mi Familia Vota since July 2024, following a diverse career in media and communications. Previous roles include Media Relations Manager and Media Relations Specialist at RAICES from June 2018 to July 2024, and News Producer/MMJ at Univision Communications Inc. between August 2016 and July 2018. Additionally, Jessica produced, directed, edited, anchored, and reported for Lake Front Newspaper/Newscast from August 2014 to May 2017, while also assisting the Dean's Office at the College of Arts and Science from January 2013 to December 2016. Freelance work as a Promotional Editor for Holy Cross of San Antonio involved producing and editing videos, and experience as a Camera Operator for NAIA's OLLU Saints Live Network included managing live stream cameras for sporting events. Jessica holds a Bachelor's Degree in Mass Communication/Multimedia Journalism from Our Lady of the Lake University, earned in 2017.
