Thaís Silva-Marques has a diverse and extensive work experience in various roles related to communications, campaign management, and community organizing.

From 2020 to the present, Thaís worked as the Director of Communications for RAICES, where they oversee communication strategies and initiatives.

Prior to that, from 2019 to 2020, Thaís served as a Campaign Manager for CREDO Mobile. In this role, they led national and local campaigns on a range of issues and worked on digital campaign planning and member engagement.

In 2018, Thaís held two positions. First, as a Director for PowerLabs, they trained and coached staff at organizations to develop volunteer-powered campaigns and provided strategic advice to national and local organizations on their digital campaigns. Second, at Momentum, they worked as a Communications Coordinator and provided systematization support, organizing training sessions and developing a curriculum for digital organizing.

Before that, from 2016 to 2018, Thaís worked as the Digital Organizing Director for Movimiento Cosecha. They directed the digital campaigns team and led mass-scale digital campaign strategy and planning.

Starting in 2013, Thaís worked as a Community Organizer for NJ Communities United, focusing on Education Justice in New Jersey. They played a leadership role in the movement to win full local control of Newark Public Schools.

Thaís also co-founded the Newark Students Union in 2012, where they served as a lead organizer for 13 chapters across the city of Newark. The organization aimed to protect student rights, ensure quality education, and empower student voices in the political process.

Thaís Silva-Marques obtained their High School Diploma from Science Park High School. From the years 2013 to 2016, they attended Rutgers University, where they completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and Government.
