Rail Transit Consultants, Inc. (RTC) was incorporated in January of 1986 as a corporation of the state of Pennsylvania. In 2006 a majority interest in RTC was acquired by Kinkisharyo (USA) Inc. The goals of the firm are to provide high quality engineering services to the rail transit industry. We are located in the Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania metropolitan area, with local access to several major transit equipment suppliers. RTC is an organization of highly qualified professionals, with many years of experience, covering a broad spectrum of advanced technology disciplines. The members of the firm have extensive experience in rail transit vehicle and wayside signaling / train control technology that includes equipment invention, design, documentation, application, testing, and analytical analysis. Our specialties include Passenger railcar design and systems integration, CCTV (Genetec Rail Transit Integrator), Special test equipment based on National InstrumentsTM hardware and software, Ethernet based Communications and Monitoring and Diagnostics systems. Systems Assurance, and Railcar testing. Additionally, Rail Transit is the US representative for Arthur Flury Overhead Contact Products.
