User Experience Lead at Railinc Corp.

Jeremiah Smith has over 18 years of work experience in the field of design, with a focus on user experience. Jeremiah currently holds the position of Senior User Experience Designer at Railinc Corp., where they have been working since October 2019. Prior to this, Jeremiah worked at North Carolina State University as a User Experience Designer for Math-Mapper, a STEM-based research project, from July 2019 to October 2019.

Before their time at North Carolina State University, Jeremiah spent four years at National Instruments as an Interaction Designer, starting in January 2015 and ending in July 2019. In this role, they collaborated with product owners and engineering teams to design and implement UI elements and workflows for SystemLinkTM. Jeremiah also conducted user research and usability studies and created prototypes and wireframes for user interfaces.

From 2013 to 2013, Jeremiah worked at Bigpoint GmbH as a Game Designer, where they managed a design team, created wireframes and workflow diagrams, and incorporated feedback into design revisions. Prior to that, they were a Lead Game Designer at Zynga from 2010 to 2011, where they played a key role in designing core game features and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Jeremiah's earlier work experience includes roles as a Senior Systems Designer at True Games Interactive from 2009 to 2010, a Senior Game Designer at KingsIsle Entertainment from 2006 to 2009, a Designer at Turbine from 2005-2006, and a Senior Content Developer/Team Lead at Mythic Entertainment from 2001 to 2005. In these positions, they designed and implemented game systems, led design teams, and collaborated with programmers to create game content.

Jeremiah Smith attended North Carolina State University from 1996 to 2001, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Textile Technology.
