Kenneth Nagy has a rich work experience in various roles related to systems administration and engineering. Kenneth started their career in 1985 as a Systems Technician at Quotron Systems, where they serviced and maintained real-time stock quotation information retrieval systems for brokerage houses. From 1992 to 1995, they worked as a Systems Analyst for the Marketing Group at Asbury Park Press, where they administered IVR networks and created tailored applications. At Call Sciences, from 1996 to 1999, they were an Operations Engineer responsible for maintaining SCO Unix systems and HP servers.
In 1999, Kenneth joined IDT Corporation as a Unix Systems Administrator, where they built and maintained Sun servers running Solaris and Linux servers, implemented automated OS installs, and ensured maximum redundancy and availability in production environments. Kenneth then worked at General Dynamics Information Technology from 2009 to 2011 as the Principal Administrator of Unix Systems, leading a group supporting the U.S. Army Software Engineering Center.
From 2011 to 2016, Kenneth served as a Senior Systems Administrator at RTI International, where they were responsible for Linux systems administration, hardware maintenance, patching, security, and server hardening. Kenneth joined Veredus, a Hays Company, in 2016 as a Senior Systems Engineer.
Kenneth's most recent role is at Railinc Corp., where they have held various positions. Kenneth started as a Senior Systems Engineer in 2017 and then became the Infrastructure Team Lead from 2020 to 2023. Currently, they hold the position of Cloud Operations Engineer.
Throughout their career, Kenneth Nagy has gained extensive experience in system administration, network management, server operations, software administration, and security.
Kenneth Nagy attended DeVry Technical Institute from 1982 to 1985, where they studied Electronics. Prior to that, they attended Carteret High School from 1977 to 1980. No degree was mentioned for either educational experience.
