Steven Tirrell

Steven Tirrell is an experienced finance professional with a strong background in strategic business planning and financial management. Currently serving as the Director of Commercial Finance at Railpen since February 2020, Steven is responsible for aligning the Finance & Strategy function with Railpen’s future ambitions and leveraging data strategies and technological innovations. Previous roles include interim CFO and Director of Strategic Business Planning at Railpen, and a series of contracting positions at major banks such as HSBC and Barclays, where Steven provided insights into performance and strategic direction. With over a decade of leadership experience at Citi and Morgan Stanley in financial planning and analysis, Steven brings a wealth of expertise across the finance and technology sectors. Academic qualifications include a Bachelor's and Honours degree from the University of KwaZulu-Natal.
