Brendan English

Chief Executive Officer at Railpod

Brendan English has a long and varied work experience. Brendan started their career in 1999 as a Systems Engineer at the US Department of Transportation (DOT). In this role, they initiated the concept of utilizing artificial intelligence (neural networks) to optimize safety logic in ground based air traffic safety systems. Brendan received funding from the FAA and collaborated with MIT students and professors to develop conceptual models. Brendan also developed a prototype Voice Enhanced Safety Logic (VESL) utilizing COTS based voice recognition software and existing FAA owned ground based safety systems (radar & software). In 2001, they joined the US Air Force as a Pilot & Officer. In 2007, they became the Chief Executive Officer of RailPod Inc., which provides rail and infrastructure inspection, survey, and engineering solutions.

Brendan English attended the University of Massachusetts Amherst from 1994 to 1999, where they earned a Bachelor of Science in Computer Systems Engineering.
