Keith Policano has been in the software development industry for over a decade. In 2009, they began their career as a Software Developer at Digital Measures, where they built and maintained faculty activity and course evaluation reports from XML datasets, maintained Java/Spring report generation codebase, and architected custom database configurations and user interfaces using a Groovy-based language. In 2013, they moved to Teradata as a Software Developer/Analyst. In 2014, they joined LexisNexis as a Senior Software Engineer, where they were the lead data engineer on the Lexis Advance Relationship Engine. Keith processed millions of legal documents to expose latent relationships, created meaningful content-based recommendations for legal research, and utilized Spark RDD and Dataset APIs in Scala. Keith also ingested data from multiple sources, wrote results as Parquet files on HDFS, and deployed and ran solutions on Linux in local datacenters and AWS. In 2017, they joined Railroad19 as a Senior Scala/Java Developer.
Keith Policano attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison from 2004 to 2009, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Computer Science and Music Performance.
