Greg Hrebek has had a long and varied career in the technology industry. Greg began their career in 2004 as a Lead Project Engineer and Lead Software Engineer at GE Transportation. In 2007, they founded Syntactix LLC, a mobile app development company for HP webOS, Apple iOS, Google Android, and Windows Phone. Greg was the promoter of cross-platform app development driven by HTML5 technologies. In 2009, they became Program Manager of Research and Development at Safetran Systems. In 2011, they were a Staff Engineer - Systems and Software Safety Engineer for NASA at ENSCO, Inc. In 2012, they were Director of Engineering at Knorr-Bremse - New York Air Brake. In 2016, they became Vice President - Vertical Solutions at Predikto. In 2018, they were Global Social Innovation Business - Transportation at Hitachi Global Digital Holdings and Director of Technology at Progress Rail, A Caterpillar Company. Finally, in 2020, they became President at Railspire.
Greg Hrebek has a long history of education. Greg received a B.S. in Computer Engineering from the Florida Institute of Technology in 2000-2004. Greg then went on to complete two M.S. degrees from the same institution, one in Systems Engineering (2006-2008) and one in Software Engineering (2005-2006). Greg also attended St. Peter Chanel, but did not receive any degree or certification.
