Pierre Borckmans

Pierre Borckmans is a Full Stack Engineer at Railway since February 2023, previously serving as a Senior Software/Data Engineer at Data Minded from November 2020 to March 2023, where product development for Conveyor was a key focus. Prior to that, Pierre held the position of Lead Data Engineer at letgo from October 2018 to November 2020, leading the development of a stream-processing Rules Engine to detect fraud and enhance user safety. From October 2013 to September 2018, Pierre was the Software Team Lead at Riaktr, instrumental in transforming the company into a software product entity and expanding the engineering team significantly. Pierre's earlier experience includes roles as a self-employed mobile applications developer, freelance software developer, and R&D positions in medical imaging and optimization, complemented by a robust academic background represented by a PhD in Optimization and Applied Mathematics from Université catholique de Louvain.
