Carel van Den Heever

Carel Van den Heever has a diverse work experience spanning various roles in finance and management. Carel started their career in 2015 as a Senior Associate at Baker Tilly Greenwoods Chartered Accountants, where they gained exposure to different industries and developed their commercial acumen. In 2018, they joined PwC South Africa as a Manager, where they further honed their skills in finance. In 2019, they took on the role of Finance Manager at Pargo before transitioning to the position of Head of Finance in 2020. Currently, they are the Head of Finance Operations at rain South Africa, a role they have held since 2023.

Carel Van den Heever began their education in 2006 at Grey College, where they completed their high school education in 2010. They then attended the University of the Free State from 2011 to 2014, earning a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting. Additionally, Carel pursued further education at the South Africa Institute of Chartered Accountants, where they obtained the Initial Test of Competence (ITC) and Assessment of Professional Competence (APC) certifications. In December 2017, they were awarded the CA(SA) certification from SAICA.
