Tawanda Chitaka

Tawanda Chitaka is a highly experienced software engineer with a robust background in team leadership and software development. Currently serving as a Senior Software Engineer Team Lead at rain South Africa since February 2021, Tawanda oversees software development and deployment, mentoring developers and liaising with stakeholders. Previous roles include leading the design and development of a Fleet Management platform at H2O International Inc. and a customer engagement mobile app at Walmart, both enhancing operational efficiency and customer interaction. Tawanda co-founded Tana Communications, contributing significant advancements such as a payment gateway for mobile transactions. An alumnus of the University of South Africa, Tawanda holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science.
