Aaron Subramanien CA (SA) currently serves as Commercial Executive at RAINBOW since August 2024. Previously, Aaron held various positions at RCL FOODS from January 2016 to December 2024, including Commercial Manager and Finance Manager. Between October 2012 and November 2015, Aaron was the Regional Financial Controller at Mpact Recycling, overseeing all financial aspects for the KZN region. Additional experience includes serving as Acting Financial Accountant at Paintchem (Pty) Ltd and Acting Financial Manager at Shepstone & Wylie Attorneys in early 2012. Aaron began a professional career as a Trainee Accountant at PKF Chartered Accountants and Business Advisors from March 2009 to February 2012, completing articles during that time. Aaron holds a Bcom Hons Acc (CTA) degree in Accounting from the University of KwaZulu-Natal, earned between 2005 and 2009.

RAINBOW was founded by Stanley Methven on his Father’s farm in 1960. He first sold from a stall in central Durban and the demand for RAINBOW’s chicken grew quickly, leading to the commissioning of the first processing plant in Hammarsdale in 1963. Today, RAINBOW is one of South Africa’s largest Chicken Producers. We are a fully integrated Broiler producer that breed and rear our livestock which we feed from our Epol Feed Mills. We process, distribute and market fresh, frozen, value-added and further-processed chicken to our customers and consumers. RAINBOW has more than 100 farms, 3 processing plants, 2 further processing plants and 6 animal feed mills across South Africa
