Ligia V. H. has extensive experience in corporate and foundation relations, currently serving as Manager of Corporate and Foundation Relations at Rainforest Alliance since July 2016. Ligia previously held various roles within the organization, including Institutional Relations and Strategic Partnerships Manager for Mesoamerica and Senior Associate in both the Latin America Program and Institutional Relations. Prior to Rainforest Alliance, Ligia worked as a Food Systems & Environmental Sustainability Consultant at Principal and as a Climate Change Adaptation Graduate Consultant at Raritan Headwaters Association. Additionally, Ligia gained experience as a Regional Associate at Ashoka and as a Relationship Manager at HSBC. Ligia started a career in international development as an International Development Coordinator at Fundación EDUCA México, A.C. Ligia holds a Master of Public Administration in Environmental Science and Policy from Columbia University's School of International and Public Affairs and dual Bachelor's degrees in Business Administration and Arts from St. Mary's University, specializing in Entrepreneurial Studies and International Relations.
