Jj Chai

Jj Chai is the CEO and co-founder of Rainforest Life. Prior to this, they were GM of xto10x Technologies Pvt Ltd, helping startups in SE-Asia scale-up. Jj has also been an angel investor and was previously SVP, Growth & Strategy at Carousell, responsible for core marketplace, user growth & corporate strategy.

Before joining Carousell, JJ was the Managing Director of Southeast Asia & India and Head of APAC Host Operations at Airbnb. As the first employee in Southeast Asia, they helped set up Airbnb's presence in the region and grew the business significantly.

Prior to Airbnb, JJ worked at McKinsey & Company as a junior partner from 2007 to 2012. Jj started their career as a product manager at Buildfolio Technologies from 2002 to 2005.

Jj Chai's educational career consists of completing a Bachelor of Engineering (Hons) in Computer Engineering from the National University of Singapore followed by an MBA in Business Administration and Management, General from INSEAD.
