Alex Laplaza

Alex Laplaza is a seasoned professional in international affairs and climate technology, currently serving as the Director of International Affairs at Rainmaker Technology Corporation since 2024. In addition to this role, Alex is a Board Member at Stanford Alumni in Climate Tech and an Advisor and Partner at Lowercarbon Capital, where significant contributions include establishing multiple funds and expanding the firm into a leading climate tech investment vehicle with $2 billion under management. Previous experience includes positions at the Clean Energy Leadership Institute, ReNew, and notable roles as a Fulbright Scholar and Critical Language Scholar through the U.S. Department of State. Alex holds a Master's degree in International Policy with a focus on Energy, Environment, and Natural Resources from Stanford University, as well as an Honors Bachelor's degree in International Economics and Environmental Policy from American University.
