Sunshine Purificacion

Sunshine Purificacion has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. Most recently, they worked at Raisely as a Customer Success Specialist starting in July 2022. Prior to that, they served as the Director of Community Development at Ronald McDonald House British Columbia and Yukon from March 2018 to June 2022.

Sunshine also worked at BC Cancer, where they held two positions. They served as a Project Manager at Canada's Michael Smith Genome Sciences Centre from November 2015 to March 2018, and as a Research Coordinator in Radiation Oncology from April 2014 to November 2015.

Before joining BC Cancer, Sunshine worked as a Research Assistant at the Canadian Partnership for Quality Radiotherapy from April 2014 to November 2015.

Their earlier experiences include working as a Research Technician at King's College London's MRC Centre for Developmental Neurobiology from January 2011 to October 2012, and as a Team Leader in Student Development at Simon Fraser University from January 2010 to October 2010.

Sunshine Purificacion completed their Bachelor's Degree in Cell and Molecular Biology at Simon Fraser University from 2006 to 2010. In 2012 to 2013, they pursued a Master's Degree in Biomedical Science with Management Studies at Kingston University. Sunshine then undertook Project Management Professional Studies at Langara College, where they obtained a certification in Project Management in 2017. Recently, in 2020, they pursued Leadership and Community Building Programs with a focus on Project Management for the Non-Profit Sector at Simon Fraser University. Sunshine also holds additional certifications in SheCodes Basics from SheCodes, obtained in January 2022, and the Project Management Professional (PMP)® certification from the Project Management Institute, obtained in November 2017.
