Dr. Vikas Jain serves as a Scientific Officer - G at the Raja Ramanna Centre for Advanced Technology (RRCAT) since October 2001, after a two-year tenure at Fermilab National Accelerator Laboratory in the USA. Prior to this, Dr. Jain worked as an Engineer -SD at the Institute For Plasma Research from September 1994 to November 2001. Academic qualifications include a Ph.D. from the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay, attained between 2005 and 2011, and a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from IGGEC, Sagar, obtained from 1988 to 1992.
