Oscar Velazquez

Oscar Velazquez has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies. Starting with their most recent role at Rajant Corporation as the Sales Director for Latin America, they were responsible for sales development and identifying business opportunities in the Latin American territory. Oscar achieved a significant increase in the number of partners and introduced new verticals such as IoT and utilities.

Prior to their role at Rajant Corporation, Oscar worked at Redline Communications as the Territory Sales Manager. Oscar successfully developed relationships with professionals in the Mexican and LATAM markets and offered innovative technology solutions for various verticals.

Oscar also held the position of Senior Consulting Engineer at Redline Communications, where they contributed to the development of WIMAX and Metropolitan Wireless Networks.

Oscar gained experience in the mobile industry as a Consulting System Engineer at Cisco Systems, focusing on WiMAX mobile projects in the CALA region.

Earlier in their career, they worked as a Senior System Engineer at Patton Electronics Co., where they played a crucial role in IP project trials, mainly focusing on VoIP.

Oscar also worked as a Carrier Segment Account Manager at Getronics, where they successfully closed complex contracts with major service providers in Mexico including Axtel, Alestra, and Avantel.

In their role as a Senior Systems Engineer at Lucent Technologies, Oscar was involved in data sales and technical sales, testing Lucent data products in the field, and presenting new products to customers. Oscar also contributed to the Telmex Infinitum first stage project, one of the largest DSL projects in the world.

At SONDA, Oscar served as a Networking Design Coordinator, where they were responsible for networking design, pre-sales support, and network integration. Oscar also held the position of Structured Cabling Design Coordinator.

Throughout their career, Oscar has achieved notable accomplishments such as increasing the number of partners and introducing new verticals, deploying large-scale VoIP gateways, and closing contracts with major service providers.

Oscar Velazquez completed their high school education at Universidad Autónoma de Nuevo León from 1986 to 1988, earning a Preparatoria 23 degree. Oscar then pursued their Bachelor of Engineering in Telecommunications Engineering at PISIS-FIME-UANL from 1989 to 1993.
