Dr Will Morgan

Dr. Will Morgan is a Principal Data Scientist at Rajasthan Royals since April 2024, with a robust background in data science and environmental studies. Prior roles include Head of American Football Data Science and Senior Data Scientist at StatsBomb, as well as Senior Data Scientist at Stats Perform, contributing to AI-driven performance analysis in various sports. Dr. Morgan has also served as a Sessional Lecturer at the University of Worcester and a Data Scientist for Football Analytics 2+2=11, focusing on machine learning applications in sports data. Previous experience includes a Research Scientist position at The University of Manchester, where research involved air pollution and climate change, and initial work as an Office Administrator at the Rural Payments Agency. Dr. Morgan holds a PhD in Atmospheric Science from The University of Manchester and a BSc in Meteorology from the University of Reading.
