Mike Bates is the current Vice President of Corporate Strategy at Raken. Mike has over 25 years of experience in the software industry, with a focus on product management, strategy, and customer experience.

Bates started their career as a software engineer, before moving into product management and then into strategy and customer experience. Mike spent 10 years at AvidXchange, Inc., where they led a team of 40+ product and UX professionals across 5 US sites. During their time there, they helped the company grow by 50% each year, delivering procurement-to-payment solutions for mid-market buyers and suppliers on a SaaS platform.

Bates has a proven track record in developing solutions that are both scalable and user-friendly. Mike has developed an API-based platform for partner, CRM, and ERP solution integration, as well as a scalable bank platform for complete ACH, virtual card, and check payment processing. Thanks to their innovative thinking and dedication to their work, Mike Bates has been instrumental in the success of the companies they have worked for.
