Janne Suomalainen

Janne Suomalainen has a diverse work experience spanning over multiple industries. Janne started their career in 2006 as a Sales Person at Indoor Group Oy, where they worked during the summers of 2006 and 2007. Janne then moved on to work at Eniro as a Sales Person in 2008 before joining Danske Bank as a Personal Banker, where they handled private customers' bank affairs and participated in marketing efforts and management tasks.

In 2011, Janne worked as a Content Provider at Uranus Oy before transitioning to a role at Helsinki Metropolia University of Applied Sciences as a Teaching Assistant in 2013. Here, they were responsible for preparing, instructing, and supervising laboratory sessions for an embedded systems software development course.

From 2012 to 2016, Janne worked at Enoro as a Software Developer, where they developed and maintained internal systems and tools and improved CI-systems and DevOps tasks using C# and .NET technologies. During this time, they also took on the role of Project Engineer.

In 2016, Janne joined Vincit as a Senior Full Stack Developer and continued working there until 2022. Their responsibilities included working in various software projects as a consultant, project lead, architect, and full stack developer. Janne utilized modern web technologies and methodologies to create cutting-edge web UX for clients and their customers.

Currently, Janne is working at Rakettitiede as a Senior Full Stack Developer, starting in 2022.

Janne Suomalainen pursued their educational journey with great dedication and achieved significant milestones along the way. Their academic trajectory commenced at Metropolia University of Applied Sciences, where they completed their Bachelor's degree in Marketing/Logistics. This accomplishment spanned the years 2004 to 2007. Seeking further specialization, Janne then embarked on a new chapter at Metropolia University of Applied Sciences, where they obtained a Bachelor of Applied Science (BASc) in Computer Science from 2010 to 2013. Continuing their pursuit of knowledge, Janne enrolled at Aalto University from 2013 to 2016, ultimately earning a Master's degree in Computer Software Engineering. These various educational experiences lay the foundation for Janne's expertise in the field of computer science and software engineering.
