Daniel Hambali

Daniel Hambali has an extensive work experience spanning over several companies. Daniel currently holds the position of CISO and SVP of Corporate IT at Rakuten Americas, a role they have been in since April 2022. Prior to this, they served as the CISO Americas Region at Rakuten Americas starting from July 2018.

Before joining Rakuten Americas, Daniel worked at Rakuten Rewards (formerly Ebates) for nearly a decade. Daniel held the role of Senior Director of Infrastructure from January 2015 to July 2018. In that position, they were responsible for managing the company's IT and infrastructure operations. Daniel also served as the Director of Technical Operations from October 2009 to January 2015, overseeing the corporate IT and website operations during the company's growth from 35 to approximately 800 employees.

Daniel's earlier work experience includes roles at Acxiom - Digital LOB as the Manager of Systems Architecture from October 2006 to October 2009, at EMC as a Sr. Technology Consultant from September 2004 to September 2006, and at KeepMedia as a Unix System Administrator from June 2003 to June 2004.

Prior to that, they worked at Siebel Systems as a Principal Engineer Storage Area Networks from an unspecified start date to 2003, at Webvan Group as the IT Operations Lead - Unix from an unspecified start date to 2001, and at Superior Design as a Systems Test Engineer from July 1996 to March 1999.

Daniel Hambali completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in Chemistry from Cornell University from 1992 to 1996. Prior to that, they attended Kofa High School from 1988 to 1992, where they did not receive a degree or have any defined field of study.
