Tony Rouillard

Tony Rouillard is a seasoned technology professional with extensive experience in software engineering and architectural leadership. Currently serving as Tech Lead, Vice Manager, and Software Architect at Rakuten since September 2018, Tony leads the development of new architectural designs, including the migration to Java 21's Virtual Threads. Prior to this role, Tony progressed within the company, managing multiple teams and enhancing technical processes. Tony began a career in software engineering at Alteca and Groupe SII, where key contributions included developing hospital software and various Java EE applications. Early career experience included roles in the culinary service sector in Japan to enhance language skills. Tony holds a Master’s degree in Productique from Université Paul Sabatier Toulouse III.
