Ram River Environmental Consultants Ltd.
Ram River Environmental Consultants Ltd. (RREC) is a professional environmental consulting company that provides reclamation program management and project supervision for upstream oil and gas clients in Alberta and Saskatchewan. Our services include Phase 1 and Phase 2 Environmental Site Assessments, remediation planning and supervision, reclamation supervision, detailed site assessments and reclamation certificate applications. We also provide direct support to operations and emergency spill response services. We seek to hire local people who want to live and work long term in the communities where we operate. Having local people regionally based helps to build relationships in those communities and lends to managing time and weather sensitive work. RREC has professionals from several different scientific backgrounds, allowing us to complete complex projects in any given setting or contaminant scenario. Included are professionals from the field of agrology, forestry, hydrogeology, risk assessment, chemistry, biology, engineering, and geology among other disciplines. RREC also employs staff hydrogeologists with experience developing and implementing groundwater assessment workplans, conducting pathway elimination and developing site specific Tier 2 guidelines, if required. Applying Tier 2 guideline strategies has reduced remedial volumes that require excavation and subsequently resulted in significant cost savings. The result is a cost efficient and effective response to environmental challenges to minimize the environmental impact of production operations and projects. RREC employs local contractors to complete any required third party service. RREC also encourages our staff and their families to engage in volunteerism and to take leadership roles in our communities. Our people support and volunteer for a variety of local organizations.
