Amrita Saxena

Amrita Saxena is an accomplished academic currently serving as an Assistant Professor at Ramaiah University of Applied Sciences since December 2024. Prior to this role, Amrita held positions at Banaras Hindu University as an MPDF from March 2023 to December 2024 and as DST-INSPIRE SRF from September 2010 to September 2015. At the Indian Institute of Sciences in Bangalore, Amrita worked as a DBT-Research Associate from July 2016 to January 2024 and as a National Post Doctoral Fellow from June 2016 to March 2021, focusing on the molecular and genetic factors influencing leaf development in the plant model system Arabidopsis thaliana. Academic qualifications include a Doctor of Philosophy in Epidemiology and management of anthracnose of chilli, obtained from Banaras Hindu University, a Master's Degree in Applied Microbiology, and a Bachelor's Degree with honors in Botany, Zoology, and Chemistry. Amrita's educational foundation was laid at St. Michael's Convent School in Mankapur.
