Sophia Barbanel is an experienced educator currently serving as a Third Grade Teacher at Lyndhurst Public Schools since July 2021 and also holds the position of Division Leader at Ramapo Country Day Camp since June 2021. Prior experience includes serving as a Substitute Teacher at Tenafly Public Schools, a Student Teacher at Lincoln Public Schools and Trinity Grammar School, and a Swim Instructor. Sophia's educational background includes a Master of Education in Reading Teacher Education from Boston University Wheelock College and a Bachelor of Science in Elementary and Special Education from Boston University. Additional teaching experience encompasses roles as a Summer School Teacher and Camp Counselor, reflecting a strong commitment to K-12 education and student development.
