Alison O'Connor is a highly qualified Senior Lead Consultant, Geochemist, and Data Scientist at Ramboll since May 2017. With a Ph.D. in Marine Science, specializing in Chemical Oceanography from the Virginia Institute of Marine Science, Alison has experience in biogeochemical research, including the fate and transport of trace metals and nutrients in coastal environments as a Graduate Research Assistant. Earlier, at Oberlin College, a novel method was developed for isolating cadmium from complex natural samples as part of undergraduate honors research. A Summer Student Fellow at the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution, Alison studied mercury distribution in groundwater affected by wastewater, gaining expertise in sample collection and data analysis.
