Julia Andrusenko has extensive work experience in the field of communications engineering, starting as a summer intern at George Winter Construction Lab in 1996. Julia then worked as an Electrical Engineering Intern at PECO Energy in 1999, followed by an Information Technology Assistant role at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in 1998. In 2001, they graduated from Drexel University, where they also worked as a Graduate Research Assistant the same year. Since then, they have held several positions at The Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory, including Senior Research Communications Engineer, Communications and Networking Systems Group, and Chief Engineer, Tactical Wireless Systems Group. In these roles, they led the development of capabilities for analyzing, understanding, and influencing the use of RF spectrum for wireless communications, conducted communications trade-off studies, and was responsible for the technical quality of all group projects. Additionally, they served as a Project Manager and Technical Co-Lead and as a Senior Communications Engineer/Communications EW Technical Lead, responsible for the technical direction of internal teams, staff planning and training, sponsor interactions, and conflict resolution. In 2023, they will join Rampart Communications as a Communications Engineer.
Julia Andrusenko attended Drexel University from 1996 to 2002. During this time, they obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, with a concentration in Telecommunications. Julia also pursued a Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering with a concentration in Artificial Intelligence and Robotics, which they successfully completed in the same timeframe.
