Karl van der Merwe

Karl Van Der Merwe has extensive experience in the healthcare sector, currently serving as the Chief Executive Officer of Noosa and Nambour Private Hospitals since January 2017, while also taking on the role of Acting CEO for Northern Sunshine Coast Ramsay. Previously, Karl held the position of Director of the Emergency Department at Noosa and is a Fellow of the Australasian College for Emergency Medicine (FACEM). Prior to this, Karl worked as a doctor at Northern Sydney Central Coast Health from August 2008 to August 2013. Karl Van Der Merwe earned a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS, MBChB) from Stellenbosch University between 2000 and 2005.
