Roger Nassar

Founder & CEO at Ran Biotechnologies

Roger Nassar is the Founder and CEO of RAN Biotechnologies, where the focus is on developing new products for next-generation sequencing (NGS) and single-cell analysis, as well as solid media for the capture, detection, and purification of microorganisms and proteins, a position held since November 2011. Prior to this role, Nassar was a Post-doctoral Researcher at MIT, specializing in the invention of new materials and technologies for fluid disinfection from September 2010 to September 2011. Nassar also served as a Senior Chemist at RainDance Technologies, leading projects to optimize and scale the synthesis of a key fluorosurfactant between July 2008 and September 2010. Earlier in the career, Nassar worked as a Chemist at Rohm and Haas Electronic Materials, engaging in product development and customer support related to photoresist chemistry from May 2005 to July 2008. Nassar holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Chemistry from the University of Leicester, earned between 1997 and 2001.
