Patrick Johnston

Patrick Johnston is a Senior Political Scientist at the RAND Corporation, where they have worked since 2011. They previously held positions as a post-doctoral research fellow at both the Harvard Kennedy School and Stanford University and served as a consultant for the United States Institute of Peace and SAIC. Johnston earned a B.A. in Political Science from the University of Minnesota Morris, followed by an M.A. and Ph.D. in Political Science from Northwestern University. Their expertise includes statistical analysis and research on conflict and insurgent behavior, particularly in Afghanistan, the Philippines, and Pakistan.
