Phil Norton

Phil Norton has over two decades of experience in finance and engineering, currently serving as a Carbon and Sustainable Finance Transactor at RMB - Rand Merchant Bank since October 2006. Prior roles at RMB included Sustainable Finance and ESG Advisory and Leveraged Finance Transactor, focusing on structured term debt for large corporates, along with responsibilities as a Senior Credit Analyst, where industry and financial analyses were performed to support deal approvals. Phil's earlier experience includes positions as a Senior Associate at Taurus Associates, Associate at Decipher, and Audit Senior at KPMG/Arthur Andersen. Phil holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Accounting and a BComm in Accounting, as well as a BSc in Mechanical Engineering, all earned from the University of Cape Town.
