Chris Girgenti

Director Of Environmental Programs at Randall's Island Park Alliance

Chris Girgenti's work experience begins in 2007 as a Dr. Jack Robbin Biodiversity Intern at the Westchester County Department of Parks, Recreation, and Conservation. In 2011, they worked as a Digital Media and Production Intern at Westover Landscape Design. From 2012 to 2012, they served as a Natural Areas Field Technician and Educator at Randall's Island Park Alliance. In 2013, they joined the NYC Department of Parks & Recreation as a Project Coordinator before transitioning to the position of Natural Areas Manager at Randall's Island Park Alliance, where they worked until 2021. In 2020, they briefly worked as a Graduate Teaching Associate at Duke University Nicholas School of the Environment. In February 2021, they became the Director of Environmental Programs at Randall's Island Park Alliance, their current role.

Chris Girgenti attended Duke University Nicholas School of the Environment from 2018 to 2020, earning a Master of Environmental Management degree with a specialization in Duke Environmental Leadership. Prior to that, from 2006 to 2010, Chris completed a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Environment and Development Studies at Sarah Lawrence College.
