Tim Smith

Tim Smith currently serves as the Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs at Randolph College, a position held since July 2023. Prior to this role, Tim Smith was associated with Birmingham-Southern College from August 2006 to May 2023, where responsibilities included Interim Provost, Professor of Art History, Associate Provost, Associate Professor of Art History, and Assistant Professor of Art History. Earlier in the academic career, Tim Smith served as a Visiting Assistant Professor at DePaul University from August 2002 to June 2006. Tim Smith holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Art History from Florida State University, earned between 1994 and 2002, a Master of Arts in Art History from the University of South Carolina from 1992 to 1994, and a Bachelor of Arts in Art History from the same institution from 1987 to 1992.
