Joseph Tarnowski has a diverse range of work experience spanning over two decades. Joseph started their career in 1993 as an Assistant Editor for FoodService Director magazine. Joseph then worked as a Managing Editor for The Journal of Petroleum Marketing, where they launched a technology supplement called Data to Dollars and managed day-to-day operations of the publication.
In 1999, Joseph joined Genesys Consulting Services as a PC Tech. Joseph also served as a Sales Manager for East Coast RETAILTECH Magazine and as an E-Business Strategist for RETAILTECH Magazine VNU (Now The Nielsen Co).
In 2000, Joseph began working for The Nielsen Co. as a Freelance Writer. Joseph later became a Senior Editor for Progressive Grocer, where they built a B2B social network for independent grocers and managed the magazine's social media platforms.
From 2010 to 2012, Joseph served as the Director of Integrated Content/Technology Editor for Progressive Grocer. During this time, they developed high-value content for various media platforms and managed social media properties.
In 2012, Joseph became the Editor-in-Chief for Stagnito Media/Progressive Grocer Independent, where they launched a trade media brand for independent grocers and developed content and distribution partnerships.
In 2014, Joseph joined ECRM as the VP of Content & Global Media. Joseph'sresponsibilities include developing thought leadership content, leading public relations strategies, and contributing to industry media platforms.
Additionally, Joseph co-founded the Connected Consumer Summit and developed and moderated technology roundtables for Progressive Grocer. Through these experiences, they have gained expertise in content development, event management, and media strategies.
Joseph Tarnowski attended Hunter College, City University of New York from 1989 to 1993. Joseph earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications during their time at the college.
