James Vincent Kulis has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. James Vincent began their career as a Foreign Service Officer with the United States State Department, where they played a key role in achieving foreign policy goals and building relationships with government officials and business leaders.
After their time with the State Department, Kulis moved into the oil and gas industry, working for companies such as Nabors Completion and Production Services and C&J Energy Services. In these positions, they held various roles focused on training, learning and development, as well as health, safety, and environmental (QHSE) management. James Vincent was responsible for implementing global practices to improve occupational safety, managing risk, and ensuring compliance with Department of Transportation regulations.
Kulis also had leadership roles within C&J Energy Services, where they provided operational support during the company's restructuring, and they oversaw the QHSE efforts for well servicing operations. James Vincent utilized their engineering and process solutions background to support field operations and meet customer requirements.
In 2018, Kulis founded their own consulting company called James Kulis Consulting L.L.C., where they provided expertise in QHSE and other areas to clients. Later that year, they joined Ranger Energy Services, LLC as the Vice President of Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental. In this role, they continued to develop and implement global practices to eliminate occupational injuries, while also managing Department of Transportation compliance and fleet safety.
James Vincent Kulis holds a Master of Arts degree in German from San Francisco State University, which they obtained between 1972 and 1980. Prior to that, they completed their high school education and obtained a High School Diploma from Xavier High School in Manhattan, graduating in 1972. In addition to their academic achievements, Kulis has obtained two additional certifications. In 2004, they became a Certified Safety Professional (CSP) from the Board of Certified Safety Professionals. In 2015, they obtained the Certified Professional in Learning and Performance (CPLP) certification from ATD (Association for Talent Development).
