David started their career in 1976 as a Groundsman and Head Groundsman at Kilmarnock Football Club & Strathclyde Fire and Rescue, where they also served as a Retained Firefighter until 1987. David then moved on to Rangers Football Club, where they have been working as the Head Groundsman since April 1987.
