Sergey Strokov

Sergey Strokov is an experienced professional in education and research, currently serving as a Worker at a company since February 2022 and a Mathematics and Statistics teacher at Rangitoto College since January 2020. Prior experience includes a role as a Channel Services Expert at Formlabs, where support and training for partners in Eastern Europe and the Middle East were provided, and as a Researcher at the University of Bremen, developing cortical neural prostheses for the blind. Additional research roles include positions at Forschungszentrum Jülich, focusing on visual information processing, and as a Guest Scientist at Osaka University studying neural oscillations. Sergey started research in the field of biophysics as a Graduate Student Researcher at Ioffe Institute and completed an internship at Paul Scherrer Institut PSI. Educational qualifications include a Master’s degree in Biophysics from Peter the Great St. Petersburg Polytechnic University and a Graduate Diploma in Teaching from The University of Auckland.
