Ernesto Ponce

Ernesto Ponce has a diverse work experience spanning various engineering roles. Ernesto most recently worked as a Sr. Automation Engineer at Rani Therapeutics starting in February 2023. Prior to that, they worked at Tesla as a Sr. Manufacturing Equipment Engineer and later as a Manufacturing Equipment Engineer from November 2020 to February 2023. In these roles, they gained expertise in programming PLC controllers, teaching industrial robots, and working on mechanical improvements for production equipment.

Before their time at Tesla, Ernesto worked at View, Inc. as an Equipment Engineer from December 2018 to November 2020. Here, they were responsible for the engineering ownership of Cut, Grind, Temper (CGT) systems.

Ernesto also has experience as a Mechanical Engineer at Soluciones y Tecnologías de Control Embebido SAPI de CV, a startup specialized in product design services, from April 2017 to July 2018. Their responsibilities included working on mechanical and electronic design of laser equipment and managing project parts/products.
