John Magolske

John Magolske has over two decades of work experience in various engineering roles. John currently works as a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer at Rani Therapeutics since 2022.

Prior to this, they worked at Sight Sciences, Inc. from 2020 to 2022 as a Senior Design Engineer, where they supported the production of ophthalmic medical device products and implemented design and process improvements.

From 2019 to 2020, Magolske worked at Benvenue Medical as a Senior R&D Engineer, focusing on the design and development of surgical instruments for orthopedic spine procedures.

John also has experience at Cardinal Health, where they worked as a Senior Manufacturing Engineer from 2017 to 2019, and at AccessClosure, now part of Cardinal Health, as a Senior Mechanical Designer from 2008 to 2017. In these roles, they contributed to the development and improvement of medical devices and manufacturing processes.

Magolske also has experience as a Product Engineer at Onda from 2005 to 2007, where they designed ultrasound equipment, and as an Exhibit Developer at Exploratorium from 1999 to 2003.

During their earlier career, they ran their own business, BiLobal Design, from 1997 to 1999, focused on developing, manufacturing, and marketing eco-friendly home furnishing products.

Additionally, Magolske has experience in contract design and fabrication, software testing, webmastering, tutoring, and educational exhibit development through various consulting and freelance roles.

John Magolske attended Don Bosco Technical Institute from 1979 to 1984, where they earned an Associate of Science (A.S.) degree in Manufacturing. Following that, they pursued further education at California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo from 1986 to 1990. During this time, they obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Manufacturing Engineering Technology.
