Mary Hoopes

Mary Hoopes has worked as a Strategy Analyst at Rani Therapeutics since June 2022. Prior to this, they worked as a Product Manager at Visilant starting in August 2021. From September 2021 to June 2022, they served as a Biomedical Design Studio TA at Johns Hopkins Whiting School of Engineering. Before that, Mary was a Project Lead at β-Trace from June 2021 to June 2022, where they contributed to the development of intraoperative radiation treatment options for pancreatic cancer patients. Mary also gained experience as a Product Development Engineer at Michigan Medicine Laboratories (MLabs) from January 2020 to May 2021. Prior to MLabs, they worked as an Engineering Intern at SQUARELY in 2019. In 2018, Mary was part of the Multidisciplinary Design Program as a Project Team member, and they interned as an Engineer at Motion Dynamics Corporation from May to August 2018.

Mary Hoopes completed their Bachelor of Science in Materials Science & Engineering with a focus on Biomaterials/Polymers at the University of Michigan from 2017 to 2021. In 2019, they participated in a Study Abroad program at DIS, where they focused on Entrepreneurship/Entrepreneurial Studies and Engineering. Currently, from 2021 to 2022, Mary is pursuing a Master of Science in Bioengineering, Innovation & Design at the Johns Hopkins Whiting School of Engineering.
