Derek Vastola

Derek Vastola is a dedicated professional with diverse experience in leadership, research, and military training. Currently serving as Co-Founder at Stealth Startup and a Reserve Officer Training Corps cadet at MIT Detachment 365, Derek is set to commission as a Second Lieutenant in the United States Air Force or Space Force upon graduation from Harvard University, where a Bachelor's degree in Biomedical/Medical Engineering is being pursued. Additional roles include being the youngest member of the Alumni Leadership Council at Ranney School, a Board Member of the Harvard ROTC Association, and previously serving as Director of Development at the Institute For Applied Space Policy & Strategy. Derek's background also encompasses a research internship at Vesigen Therapeutics, membership in Arnold Air Society as Regional Director of Training, and co-founding the Space Force Scholars Society. Past experience includes an internship with the New Jersey Senate and serving as Student Body President at Ranney School.
