Rachel McCarthy is an experienced educator and former lifeguard with a strong background in language instruction and cross-cultural communication. Since January 2017, Rachel has been a Spanish teacher for grades 6-8 at Ranney School, where Rachel also founded and advises the Middle School Model UN and serves as an 8th grade advisor and middle school cross country coach. Rachel's experience includes teaching English as a Second Language at VIPKid and Escuela Libre El Zonte in El Salvador, as well as serving as a Peace Corps volunteer. With a Master's degree in Political Science and International Relations from Rutgers University and a Bachelor's degree in Diplomacy and Modern Languages from Seton Hall University, Rachel has also developed skills in intercultural communication through various leadership programs and internships. Additionally, Rachel has held roles such as Aquatics Director and Ocean Rescue lifeguard, emphasizing a commitment to safety and community engagement.
