Through Cultivate Sales, they have also served as a consultant for various companies, including Hummingbird Nano, where they focused on commercializing novel microfluidic technologies for life science and diagnostics applications.

In 2018 and 2019, Lisa worked as the US Business Development and Marketing Director for Aptamer Group, where they were responsible for expanding the company's market presence. Lisa has also worked as a consultant for Confidential (In stealth mode), LenioBio GmbH, and YugaCell, providing business development and lead generation services.

Lisa Thurston completed their education at multiple institutions. Lisa began their academic journey at the University of Massachusetts Lowell in 1993 and graduated in 1996 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology, achieving the distinction of Magna Cum Laude. Lisa pursued further education at the same university, obtaining a Master of Science in Biology from 1996 to 1997. Lisa then pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Operations and Management at Bentley University - McCallum Graduate School of Business from 2003 to 2008.
